Dividend Increases: Week 50 (Part 2)

 


 

In this article, I will go through the weekly dividend increases and cuts in popular and well-known stocks. (Member of The Dividend Champions or Canadian All-Star list)



Recently, 22 companies announced dividend increases and one announced a dividend cut. This is the second part of the week’s notifications.



The table below summarises the dividend change announcements. The table shows the current dividend, the new dividend and the percentage increase (%). Dividends are shown on an annual basis and in US dollars unless otherwise stated. Yield is the new dividend yield of the most recent price, and Years is the years of consecutive dividend increases.









American Tower Corporation (AMT)

American Tower, one of the largest global REITs, is a leading independent owner, operator and developer of multitenant communications real estate with a portfolio of nearly 225,000 communications sites and a highly interconnected footprint of U.S. data center facilities.

On December 14, AMT announced a quarterly dividend of $1.70.

This is a 4.9% increase from the prior dividend of $1.62.

Payable February 1 for shareholders of record December 28 ex-div December 27.


Nucor Corporation (NUE)

Nucor Corporation engages in manufacture and sale of steel and steel products. The company’s Steel Mills segment produces hot-rolled, cold-rolled, and galvanized sheet steel products; plate steel products; wide-flange beams, beam blanks, and H-piling and sheet piling products; and bar steel products, such as blooms, billets, concrete reinforcing and merchant bars, and engineered special bar quality products. The company was founded in 1905 and is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina.

On December 14, NUE announced a quarterly dividend of $0.54.

This is a 5.9% increase from the prior dividend of $0.51.

Lamb Weston Holdings, Inc. (LW)

Lamb Weston Holdings, Inc. produces, distributes, and markets frozen potato products worldwide. The company operates through four segments: Global, Foodservice, Retail, and Other. Lamb Weston Holdings, Inc. was incorporated in 1950 and is headquartered in Eagle, Idaho.

On December 14, LW announced a quarterly dividend of $0.36.

This is a 28.6% increase from the prior dividend of $0.28.

Payable March 1 for shareholders of record February 2 ex-div February 1.


Edison International (EIX)

Edison International, through its subsidiaries, generates and distributes electric power. The company supplies electricity to approximately 50,000 square mile area of southern California to residential, commercial, industrial, public authorities, agricultural, and other sectors. Edison International was founded in 1886 and is headquartered in Rosemead, California.

On December 14, EIX announced a quarterly dividend of $0.78.

This is a 5.4% increase from the prior dividend of $0.74.

Pfizer Inc. (PFE)

Pfizer Inc. discovers, develops, manufactures, markets, distributes, and sells biopharmaceutical products worldwide. It offers medicines and vaccines in various therapeutic areas. Pfizer Inc. was founded in 1849 and is headquartered in New York, New York.

On December 14, PFE announced a quarterly dividend of $0.42.

This is a 2.4% increase from the prior dividend of $0.41.

The Ensign Group, Inc. (ENSG)

The Ensign Group, Inc. provides skilled nursing, senior living, and rehabilitative services, as well as other ancillary services. It operates through Skilled Services and Standard Bearer segments. The company was incorporated in 1999 and is headquartered in San Juan Capistrano, California.

On December 15, ENSG announced a quarterly dividend of $0.06.

This is a 4.3% increase from the prior dividend of $0.0575.

Innovative Industrial Properties, Inc. (IIPR)

Innovative Industrial Properties, Inc. is a self-advised Maryland corporation focused on the acquisition, ownership and management of specialized properties leased to experienced, state-licensed operators for their regulated cannabis facilities. Innovative Industrial Properties, Inc. has elected to be taxed as a real estate investment trust, commencing with the year ended December 31, 2017.

On December 15, IIPR announced a quarterly dividend of $1.82.

This is a 1.1% increase from the prior dividend of $1.80.

Boyd Group Services Inc. (TSE:BYD)

Boyd Group Services Inc., together with its subsidiaries, operates non-franchised collision repair centers in North America. The company operates its locations under the Boyd Autobody & Glass and Assured Automotive names in Canada; and Gerber Collision & Glass name in the United States. Boyd Group Services Inc. was founded in 1990 and is headquartered in Winnipeg, Canada.

On December 15, BYD announced a quarterly dividend of C$0.15.

This is a 1.1% increase from the prior dividend of C$0.147.

Abbott Laboratories (ABT)

Abbott Laboratories, together with its subsidiaries, discovers, develops, manufactures, and sells health care products worldwide. It operates in four segments: Established Pharmaceutical Products, Diagnostic Products, Nutritional Products, and Medical Devices. Abbott Laboratories was founded in 1888 and is based in North Chicago, Illinois.

On December 15, ABT announced a quarterly dividend of $0.55.

This is a 7.8% increase from the prior dividend of $0.51.

The Mosaic Company (MOS)

The Mosaic Company, through its subsidiaries, produces and markets concentrated phosphate and potash crop nutrients in North America and internationally. The company operates through three segments: Phosphates, Potash, and Mosaic Fertilizantes. The Mosaic Company was incorporated in 2004 and is headquartered in Tampa, Florida.

On December 15, MOS announced a quarterly dividend of $0.21.

This is a 5.0% increase from the prior dividend of $0.20.

Payable March 21 for shareholders of record March 7 ex-div March 6.


SEI Investments Company (SEIC)

SEI Investments Company is a publicly owned asset management holding company. Through its subsidiaries, the firm provides wealth management, retirement and investment solutions, asset management, asset administration, investment processing outsourcing solutions, financial services, and investment advisory services to its clients. SEI Investments Company was founded in 1968 and is based in Oaks, Pennsylvania.

On December 15, SEIC announced a quarterly dividend of $0.46.

This is a 7.0% increase from the prior dividend of $0.43.
