In this article, I will go through the weekly dividend increases and cuts in popular and well-known stocks. (Member of The Dividend Champions or Canadian All-Star list)



Recently, 5 companies announced dividend increases. Note that no dividend cuts or suspensions were announced during this period.



The table below summarises the dividend change announcements. The table shows the current dividend, the new dividend and the percentage increase (%). Dividends are shown on an annual basis and in US dollars unless otherwise stated. Yield is the new dividend yield of the most recent price, and Years is the years of consecutive dividend increases.








Avnet, Inc. (AVT)

Avnet, Inc., distributes electronic component technology. The company operates through two segments, Electronic Components and Farnell. It has operations in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Avnet, Inc. was founded in 1921 and is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona.

On August 29, AVT announced a quarterly dividend of $0.31.

This is a 6.9% increase from the prior dividend of $0.29.

Payable September 29 for shareholders of record September 13 ex-div September 12.


Brady Corporation (BRC)

Brady Corporation manufactures and supplies identification solutions (IDS) and workplace safety (WPS) products to identify and protect premises, products, and people in the United States and internationally. Brady Corporation was incorporated in 1914 and is headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

On September 4, BRC announced a quarterly dividend of $0.235.

This is a 2.2% increase from the prior dividend of $0.23.

Payable October 31 for shareholders of record October 10 ex-div October 9.


Verizon Communications Inc. (VZ)

Verizon Communications Inc., through its subsidiaries, provides communications, technology, information, and entertainment products and services to consumers, businesses, and governmental entities worldwide. It operates in two segments, Verizon Consumer Group (Consumer) and Verizon Business Group (Business). Verizon Communications Inc. was incorporated in 1983 and is headquartered in New York, New York.

On September 7, VZ announced a quarterly dividend of $0.665.

This is a 1.9% increase from the prior dividend of $0.6525.

Payable November 1 for shareholders of record October 10 ex-div October 9.


New Jersey Resources Corporation (NJR)

New Jersey Resources Corporation, an energy services holding company, provides regulated gas distribution, and retail and wholesale energy services. The company operates through four segments: Natural Gas Distribution, Clean Energy Ventures, Energy Services, and Storage and Transportation. The company was incorporated in 1981 and is headquartered in Wall, New Jersey.

On September 7, NJR announced a quarterly dividend of $0.42.

This is a 7.7% increase from the prior dividend of $0.39.

Payable October 2 for shareholders of record September 20 ex-div September 19.


VICI Properties Inc. (VICI)

VICI Properties Inc. is an S&P 500 experiential real estate investment trust that owns one of the largest portfolios of market-leading gaming, hospitality and entertainment destinations, including Caesars Palace Las Vegas, MGM Grand and the Venetian Resort Las Vegas, three of the most iconic entertainment facilities on the Las Vegas Strip. VICI Properties’ geographically diverse portfolio consists of 50 gaming facilities across the United States and Canada comprising approximately 124 million square feet and features approximately 60,300 hotel rooms and more than 450 restaurants, bars, nightclubs and sportsbooks.

On September 7, VICI announced a quarterly dividend of $0.415.

This is a 6.4% increase from the prior dividend of $0.39.
