Dividend Increases Week 21



 

In this article, I will go through the weekly dividend increases and cuts in popular and well-known stocks. (Member of The Dividend Champions or Canadian All-Star list)

 

Recently, 16 companies announced dividend increases. Note that no dividend cuts or suspensions were announced during this period.

 

The table below summarises the dividend change announcements.  The table shows the current dividend, the new dividend and the percentage increase (%). Dividends are shown on an annual basis and in US dollars unless otherwise stated. Yield is the new dividend yield of the most recent price, and Years is the years of consecutive dividend increases.

 

 

 

 

 

CTO Realty Growth, Inc. (CTO)

CTO Realty Growth, Inc. is a Florida-based publicly traded real estate company, which owns income properties comprised of approximately 2.4 million square feet in diversified markets in the United States and an approximately 23.5% interest in Alpine Income Property Trust, Inc., a publicly traded net lease real estate investment trust (NYSE: PINE).

On May 24, CTO declared a quarterly dividend of $1.12 per share.

This is a 3.7% increase from the prior dividend of $1.08. 

Payable June 30 for shareholders of record June 9, ex-div June 8.

 

Insperity, Inc. (NSP)

Insperity, Inc. provides human resources (HR) and business solutions to improve business performance for small and medium-sized businesses. The company offers its HR services through its Workforce Optimization and Workforce Synchronization solutions that include a range of human resources functions, such as payroll and employment administration, employee benefits, workers’ compensation, government compliance, performance management, and training and development services. The company was founded in 1986 and is headquartered in Kingwood, Texas.

On May 25, NSP declared a quarterly dividend of $0.52 per share.

This is a 15.6% increase from the prior dividend of $0.45. 

Payable June 23 for shareholders of record June 9, ex-div June 8.

 

TowneBank (TOWN)

TowneBank provides retail and commercial banking services for individuals, commercial enterprises, and professionals. The company operates through three segments: Banking, Realty, and Insurance. TowneBank was incorporated in 1998 and is headquartered in Portsmouth, Virginia.

On May 25, TOWN declared a quarterly dividend of $0.23 per share.

This is a 15.0% increase from the prior dividend of $0.20. 

Payable July 12 for shareholders of record June 30, ex-div June 29.

 

Donaldson Company, Inc. (DCI)

Donaldson Company, Inc. manufactures and sells filtration systems and replacement parts worldwide. The company operates through two segments, Engine Products and Industrial Products. Donaldson Company, Inc. was founded in 1915 and is headquartered in Bloomington, Minnesota.

On May 25, DCI declared a quarterly dividend of $0.23 per share.

This is a 4.5% increase from the prior dividend of $0.22. 

Payable June 24 for shareholders of record June 9, ex-div June 8.

 

Universal Corporation (UVV)

Universal Corporation processes and supplies leaf tobacco and plant-based ingredients worldwide. The company operates through two segments, Tobacco Operations and Ingredients Operations. It is involved in procuring, financing, processing, packing, storing, and shipping leaf tobacco for sale to manufacturers of consumer tobacco products. The company was founded in 1886 and is headquartered in Richmond, Virginia.

On May 25, UVV declared a quarterly dividend of $0.79 per share.

This is a 1.3% increase from the prior dividend of $0.78. 

Payable August 1 for shareholders of record July 11, ex-div July 8.

 

 

Ashland Global Holdings Inc. (ASH)

Ashland Global Holdings Inc. provides additives and specialty ingredients worldwide. It operates through Life Sciences; Personal Care & Household; Specialty Additives; and Intermediates and Solvents segments. Ashland Global Holdings Inc. was founded in 1924 and is based in Wilmington, Delaware.

On May 25, ASH declared a quarterly dividend of $0.335 per share.

This is an 11.7% increase from the prior dividend of $0.3. 

Payable June 15 for shareholders of record June 1, ex-div May 31.

 

Royal Bank of Canada (TSE:RY)

Royal Bank of Canada operates as a diversified financial service company worldwide. The company was founded in 1864 and is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.

On May 26, RY declared a quarterly dividend of C$1.28 per share.

This is a 6.7% increase from the prior dividend of C$1.20. 

Payable August 24 for shareholders of record July 26, ex-div July 25.

 

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (TSE:CM)

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, a diversified financial institution, provides various financial products and services to personal, business, public sector, and institutional clients in Canada, the United States, and internationally. Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce was founded in 1867 and is headquartered in Toronto, Canada.

On May 26, CM declared a quarterly dividend of C$0.83 per share.

This is a 3.1% increase from the prior dividend of C$0.805. 

Payable July 28 for shareholders of record June 28, ex-div June 28.

 

Medtronic plc (MDT)

Medtronic plc develops, manufactures, distributes, and sells device-based medical therapies to hospitals, physicians, clinicians, and patients worldwide. It operates through four segments: Cardiovascular Portfolio, Neuroscience Portfolio, Medical Surgical Portfolio, and Diabetes Operating Unit. The company was founded in 1949 and is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland.

On May 26, MDT declared a quarterly dividend of $0.68 per share.

This is a 7.9% increase from the prior dividend of $0.63. 

Payable July 15 for shareholders of record June 24, ex-div June 23.

 

Flowers Foods, Inc. (FLO)

Flowers Foods, Inc. produces and markets packaged bakery products in the United States. It offers fresh breads, buns, rolls, snack cakes, and tortillas, as well as frozen breads and rolls under the Nature’s Own, Dave’s Killer Bread, Wonder, Canyon Bakehouse, Mrs. Freshley’s, and Tastykake brand names. Flowers Foods, Inc. was founded in 1919 and is headquartered in Thomasville, Georgia.

On May 26, FLO declared a quarterly dividend of $0.22 per share.

This is a 4.8% increase from the prior dividend of $0.21. 

Payable June 23 for shareholders of record June 9, ex-div June 8.

 

 

Unum Group (UNM)

Unum Group, together with its subsidiaries, provides financial protection benefit solutions primarily in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Poland. It operates through Unum US, Unum International, Colonial Life, and Closed Block segments. The company was founded in 1848 and is based in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

On May 26, UNM declared a quarterly dividend of $0.33 per share.

This is a 10.0% increase from the prior dividend of $0.30.

Expected to be paid in the third quarter of 2022.

 

National Storage Affiliates Trust (NSA)

National Storage Affiliates Trust is a Maryland real estate investment trust focused on the ownership, operation and acquisition of self storage properties located within the top 100 metropolitan statistical areas throughout the United States. As of September 30, 2020, the Company held ownership interests in and operated 788 self storage properties located in 35 states and Puerto Rico with approximately 49.5 million rentable square feet. NSA is one of the largest owners and operators of self storage properties among public and private companies in the United States.

On May 26, NSA declared a quarterly dividend of $0.55 per share.

This is a 10.0% increase from the prior dividend of $0.50. 

Payable June 30 for shareholders of record June 15, ex-div June 14.

 

National Bank of Canada (TSE:NA)

National Bank of Canada provides various financial products and services to retail, commercial, corporate, and institutional clients in Canada and internationally. It operates through four segments: Personal and Commercial, Wealth Management, Financial Markets, and U.S. Specialty Finance and International. National Bank of Canada was founded in 1859 and is based in Montreal, Canada.

On May 27, NA declared a quarterly dividend of C$0.92 per share.

This is a 5.7% increase from the prior dividend of C$0.87. 

Payable August 1 for shareholders of record June 27, ex-div June 24.

 

LyondellBasell Industries N.V. (LYB)

LyondellBasell Industries N.V. operates as a chemical company in the United States, Germany, Mexico, Italy, Poland, France, Japan, China, the Netherlands, and internationally. LyondellBasell Industries N.V. was incorporated in 2009 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.

On May 27, LYB declared a quarterly dividend of $1.19 per share.

This is a 5.3% increase from the prior dividend of $1.13. 

Payable June 13 for shareholders of record June 6, ex-div June 3.

 

Canadian Western Bank (TSE:CWB)

Canadian Western Bank provides personal and business banking products and services primarily in Western Canada. The company offers current, savings, cash management, US dollar, and chequing accounts, as well as organization, strata solution/condo, general trust, and trust fund investment accounts. Canadian Western Bank was founded in 1984 and is headquartered in Edmonton, Canada.

On May 27, CWB declared a quarterly dividend of C$0.31 per share.

This is a 3.3% increase from the prior dividend of C$0.30. 

Payable June 23 for shareholders of record June 9, ex-div June 8.

 

 

Lowe's Companies, Inc. (LOW)

Lowe's Companies, Inc., together with its subsidiaries, operates as a home improvement retailer in the United States and internationally. The company offers a line of products for construction, maintenance, repair, remodeling, and decorating. Lowe's Companies, Inc. was founded in 1921 and is based in Mooresville, North Carolina.

On May 27, LOW declared a quarterly dividend of $1.05 per share.

This is a 31.3% increase from the prior dividend of $0.80. 

Payable August 3 for shareholders of record July 20, ex-div July 19.
