Value investors might want to wait on PEP stock for a more attractive entry point.
PepsiCo, Inc. (NASDAQ:PEP) is a Dividend Aristocrat worth
holding, but at the moment PEP stock is not worth buying.
The Dividend Aristocrats are a select group of 51 companies
in the S&P 500 Index, with 25+ consecutive years of dividend increases.
Additionally, PepsiCo stock is one of 350 dividend-paying
stocks in the consumer staples sector. You can see the full list of all 350
consumer staples dividend stocks here.
PepsiCo stock offers a solid 2.8% dividend yield, and has
increased its dividend for 45 years in a row. PepsiCo’s valuation is not a
screaming bargain right now, but it is rarely a dirt-cheap stock. The company
appears to be trading around the high end of fair value at current prices for
PEP stock.
